Academic Plan
I have taken the path of taking 4 courses each year instead of 5 to lighten my workload as I have no problem taking an extra year and achieving better grades this way. I also realized after failing MATH 121 that I unfortunately wasn't required to take the course. Many of the courses I was taking in first year were because I needed to since I entered the Life Sciences program fro high school. Now that I have discovered the subject I love which is psychology I have taken more course in this field and am enjoying my education so much more. Because of this shift in my course focus my grades have also improved Instead of failing and getting D's I am on track to receive 3 A's in PSYC100 (I am retaking this course so I can graduate with a psychology degree), PSYC241 and MUSC104. I also should finish with a B- in PSYC221 and finished with a C in my into level STATS course last semester (should've been a B but the exams in that course weren't my strong suit). I am looking at ways to better manager my workload as well during exam and midterm season as that's where I lacked previously. I found it hard to balance both weekly work and studying for those exams when I had 5 courses. Having 4 makes that much easier to manage so I can give equal focus to both parts of each course. I am also continuing with my therapist, not as frequently anymore but still importantly so that I stay on the right track with my lifestyle and to keep improving my academic strategies.
