Petition Letter
I am writing to request that my requirement to withdraw be temporarily suspended. My mental health steadily declined during the winter semester, until April when I reached a point where I could only focus on getting myself help.
I reached out to both the Mental Health Centres in my home and in Kingston and managed to secure an appointment at one near my house. I was diagnosed and prescribed medication, however I only fully recovered in June.
Because of my breakdown I failed all my courses. However, I managed to complete and submit a substantial portion of the coursework for my courses before my mental health incident. As such I have reached out to my professors to explain my circumstances and to discuss the possibility of changing my grade to an incomplete while I complete outstanding coursework. Upon receiving their response, I shall upload my academic plan taking into account their replies.
I also have requested records of my visits from the clinic and will upload them when they arrive.
