RE: Petition for an extended IN Grade
Dear Dr. Stephenson,
I am submitting a petition for an extended IN grade for Muth 250 - Structures of Music Theatre (Fall 2022).
I was approved for an Incomplete by Melissa Morris, the professor of the course. I have attached the Incomplete form. The due date for my outstanding assignments was March 30th, 2023. I submitted the assignments to onQ before the due date. My submissions were on March 27 and March 28th (screenshots attached), but unfortunately, there was a miscommunication. Professor Morris graded the assignments on onQ and updated my grades there, but the grade change in SOLUS did not work at the time.
I realized there was an error in July when I reviewed my SOLUS account for course registration. I contacted Professor Morris, but she is an adjunct instructor and was away from Queens working elsewhere during the summer semester. In early September, we were able to connect and Professor Morris submitted a change of grade request for Muth250. I received an email from Libby Hearn on Sept 5 letting me know that because the grade change was prior to the previous term, I needed to petition for an extended IN grade before Libby could approve the change of grade request. That is why I am submitting this request.
