Petition Letter
To who it may concern,
I hope this email finds you well. My name is Jie Min and My student number is 20208867.
I am writing to provide an explanation regarding my unique circumstances in Fall semester of 2023 and to request permission to enroll in two external courses during this period.
I have been fortunate enough to secure an internship opportunity in Toronto and engage in an online research project during this semester, both of which will significantly contribute to my academic and career aspirations in the field of Mathematics. These commitments necessitate that I remain in Toronto throughout the semester. In preparation for these commitments, I initiated an International Letter of Permission (ILOP) application to ensure my activities are in alignment with our academic regulations.
However, the ILOP review process took longer than anticipated, extending beyond five weeks, and has unfortunately caused me to miss the course registration deadline.
Given these circumstances, I am seeking your approval to enroll in two external courses while pursuing my internship and online research project, both of which are closely related to my field of study and will enable me to stay on track with my academic progress while gaining invaluable practical experience.
Thank you very much for considering my request. I am hopeful for a favorable resolution that will allow me to make the most of the opportunities that have come my way, while ensuring adherence to our university's academic regulations.
I look forward to your positive response.
Warmest regards,
Jie.
