Petition Letter
To whom it may concern,
I am submitting my petition to add course CWRI 295 after the add course deadline. I am submitting my request late as I was unable to get guidance/advice on how to complete my degree that I am set to be finished this spring. CWRI 295 would help me meet my degree requirements, and I would be able to drop a course that I am not enjoying so far and finding it very hard to manage in (ENGL 223). I am a new mom and I would love to finish my program this term and not have to drop ENGL 223 and register for a spring/summer term. I was finally able to get guidance from an academic advisor who has suggested that I submit a petition to add the course late.
I would really appreciate this accommodation. I have enoj9yed my time at Queens but I an eager to finish my degree and focus on my outside commitments. I am having a very hard time in ENGL 223, and I have applied to some masters programs for next fall and I would not like to jeopardize my GPA. I hope this term I will be able to improve my overall GPA, complete my degree, and start in a graduate program in the fall. I am committed to do my best to ensure that this can happen.
Thank you for your consideration,
Aisling Mc Manus
