Academic Plan
As stated above, this opportunity aligns perfectly with my goal of studying politics at Queens. I plan on being extremely committed to academic excellence while studying in Paris. I plan to take advantage of every possible resource to ensure I get the support needed and maintain academic excellence. My plan for studying Politics at Queens aligns with my desire to study abroad. So far I have taken all the courses necessary for my degree at Queens. My desire to go in the Fall allows me to be present for the mandatory Pols 350 in the Spring. I also plan to take the other mandatory course, Pols 384, in Fall 2025. While abroad, I will study French Civilization and Culture, Media and Democracy in a Digital Age, Current Political Issues in France, and Communication and Global Competence. These courses fit my academic plan and have been reviewed by my head of department, professor Hanimann.
With that said, there are only four courses I plan to take while abroad, but I plan on taking six courses when I return to Queens in the Spring to ensure I meet my requirements. I will ensure that I am focused and driven to achieve academic excellence while abroad. I plan to continue to meet with my tutor while away to ensure my writing is solid. I also plan to continue to meet and talk with both teachers and classmates to further understand the material. By putting these plans in place I will be able to continue solid academic work while abroad. The courses I plan to take will align with my degree, allowing me to expand my knowledge of global politics while also aligning with my educational plan.
I am a driven, hard working student who has a desire to do well in school. This will not change when I'm studying abroad. I am certain I will come back to Queens a well rounded hard working student just like I am now. I am happy to discuss my plan further if there is any concern. Thank you.
