Petition Letter
Good Morning,
I am reaching out to you this morning with this appeal as I want to drop a course (CHEM 113) that I am currently enrolled in online for the summer term. The teaching methods of this course are different than what I had expected. In my past experiences with online courses, the professors did an online lecture not just post lecture notes. Although this method may work for some, it¿¿s not the right environment for me to understand and learn. As a result, this showed clear on my midterm exam mark, which we did not receive until Wednesday, June 3rd, 2015, well after the deadline date to drop a summer school course without an academic penalty. I recently sent an email to my professor explaining the situation and he has sent me an email back that he is allowing me to share with you that explains the situation as we were supposed to have are marks before the deadline to drop a summer school course but other circumstances prevailed.
I am put in a bad situation here, if I was given my mark before the deadline to drop a summer course I would have. I will submit with this letter and a copy of my professor¿¿s email indicating that there were other prevailing circumstances for which he was unable to submit marks prior to the deadline date. I am looking forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Daniella Fabiano
