Petition Letter
To whom it may concern,
I am writing this petition against Andrew Lopez and the grades I have received throughout PHIL 351 this past winter semester. As a POLS major and PHIL minor, this course was something I was interested in taking, yet now that the semester has finished, taking this course is now one of my biggest regrets.
I have never received such poor grades in my entire academic career, which is why I am so jarred by Andrew's grading and the marks I was given. The grades I received throughout PHIL 351 do not display how much work and effort I put towards this class, which is why I am writing this petition in the first place.
In January I started taking escitalopram, which is an anti-depressant used to treat those with anxiety and depression. It was my first time taking any sort of medication, and this adjustment was something I was not used to. I had expressed my accommodations to Andrew throughout the course and found that his responses were very unprofessional. There was an instance where I had sent a formal email to him, reaching out about how I need to use my accommodation ( as he requested he needed to confirm or deny our Ventus accommodation prior to the assignment deadline- something none of my previous Professor's have ever done) to which his only response in the email was
