Petition Letter
To the Associate Dean (Academic),
I am writing this petition letter to contest the grade of ‘0’ given to my assignment “Reading Reflection and Key Terms 2”. This is for my GNDS 215 Course, Intro to Sexual and Gender Diversity. This mark of ‘0’ was given by Dr. Liz Brulé. I have spoken to Dr. Brulé about her decision, and she noted that it was because of a “24% Turnitin score” that I received the ‘0’. I am contesting this because I believe that Dr. Brulé was being unfair when grading my assignment.
There have been no extenuating circumstances in this case.
I’m writing this letter in hopes of getting a review of my assignment from an independent source (the Associate Dean), to ascertain whether my mark of ‘0’ was warranted or not. This mark will negatively impact my final grade for this course as well as my GPA, which is frustrating because of the time and effort I put into this assignment.
