Academic Plan
As outlined in my petition letter, I intend to seek active treatment for the anxiety and depression I have been trying to manage on my own. Specifically, I am in the process of getting a therapist who can help me create strategies that will be a good fit for me. I will also be finalizing adjustments to my medications, as I believe I have found better fits. Specifically, I believe that by adjusting the dosage over the summer I will be in a better headspace come fall.
Additionally, if allowed back I will fully utilize the resources Queen's has to offer me. This would include speaking to the learning strategy specialist over the summer and creating a plan for the fall term, as well as booking a follow-up appointment to ensure that alterations can be made to my plan if needed. Additionally, I will continue to utilize student success and the Ventus system (both of which I have found to be extremely helpful over the past year). Lastly, I will be more proactive in reaching out to academic advising and will create regular check-ins to ensure I am on the best path forward.
Finally, I intend to focus my part-time course load on subjects I am passionate about. Specifically, I've taken a lot of interest in Women in Development, and I believe this to be indicated in my grades. I believe this will also aid me in fixing my GPA.
