Academic Plan
My academic plan is evolving but I am committed to sourcing all available support so that I can set myself up for success next year. I am meeting with Dr. Springer again to assess the specifics of my learning challenges and how best to manage them. He will recommend the appropriate medications to help me with focus and organization. I am also scheduled to see another specialist for a second opinion so that my family and I are comfortable that we have the best advice and recommendations. I will submit these reports to Queen¿¿s Disability Services and book and appointment to meet with an advisor there as soon as possible. I have every intention of asking for and accepting any and all accommodations that are available. I also intend to better manage my work/life balance next year by possibly playing intramural sports. I excel at team sports and I really missed that aspect of life last year. I will involve myself in an on campus organization that builds my sense of community, perhaps jack.org. My family is committed to support me through this transition and knowing that they¿¿re just down the road as opposed to across an ocean will be a comfort that I¿¿ll need until I find my feet. I am ready for the challenge and a healthier lifestyle.
