Petition Letter
Hello
My name is Ethan Reynolds and I have just finished my 3rd year at Queens University. Over the past 2 years I have been struggling with depression and anxiety. I have been clinically diagnosed by a psychiatrist and am receiving ongoing medication management from my family doctor. I can provide documentation upon request.
Due to this my GPA has been significantly impacted (Winter 2023 and Fall 2023). My GPA has dropped to a 1.50. Even after a much improved term in which I worked extremely hard to get my mental health under control (Winter 2024) I finished with a 2.060 GPA, which did not raise it enough and I still fell short of the 1.60.
I have really worked hard this term to turn my grades around so I can continue my education at this university. This is something I take extremely seriously and I understand it will be difficult but this is something I know I can achieve.
I am asking that due to severe mental health issues, you can overlook my performance in the winter and fall and focus on the strides I made in this most recent semester. I am asking for the opportunity to prove myself.
