Academic Plan
For my academic plan, I would like to pursue a degree in computing. I am currently taking MATH 121 and CISC 121 during the summer. Currently, I did pretty well on my first two in term tests, and pretty much all of my web works for MATH 121. I'm starting CISC121 in July. For the year, I'm planning to take JAPN 200, FILM 110, next level CISC, MATH 111, and MUSC 052. For strategies, unlike last year, I'm going to frequently ask questions to the professors, and use the forum more often. Also for subjects that I'm not confident with, I'm planning on getting a peer tutor. I'm re-taking courses which I am not confident in, and will try to visit the student health services when needed. Last year, I took 5 hard courses, which was out of my comfort zone, which had no relevance for the degree that I want to pursue. I got advice to try all sorts of subjects in my first year, which led me to be unsuccessful. Additionally, I was not 100 percent sure which degree I wanted to pursue, which was a small factor to why I listened to the advice and was taking five hard and irrelevant courses. However, having found the degree of my preference, CompSci, this year, I feel more motivated and excited and I guarantee to show my full potential towards my studies. I intend on taking a lighter course load as well this year. Instead of 5 courses per semester, I'm going to take 4.
