Petition Letter
Dear Associate Dean (Academic)
I am writing this petition to request the Extension of an Incomplete Grade in a couple courses.
A month ago, I wrote a petition to receive credit standing in a few courses and was denied, as I had not completed 100% of the course content.
After several email exchanges between myself and the Petitions Office, I was advised to instead go back to these courses and finish the work so I could either improve my grade, or meet the criteria for Credit Standing.
Under the direction of the Petitions Office, I have reached out to these professors who have all supported me turning in late work to either pass their course, or receive a higher grade that speaks to my academic abilities.
Among the three courses, I have 3 Papers and a book review, which I believe I can have completed by August 31st, each taking about 2 weeks to complete.
As I have mentioned in multiple petitions and letters to Queens, I have struggled immensely with my health, mental health and academic support systems at the school during the last 4 years. As my health is no longer a concern, I am in a better position to show my full potential as a student. I am hoping that going back and achieving better grades in these courses I have already taken, will put me back on track to achieve my academic goals in a more efficient and sustainable way.
Thanks,
Sari
