Academic Plan
My academic plan includes the new organization and responsibility tools I have gained from therapy that will allow me to succeed here on out. As well as a new positive attitude, I have spoken to my physician about going on medication to help reduce my anxiety, and I will have that sorted in my next couple days. I am going to continue therapy for the rest of the year to ensure that I stay on top of my anxiety and to ensure this will never happen again. I am going to make an appointment with an academic advisor on September seventeenth to discuss a pathway. I am much more prepared to handle the workload due to my strategies I have gained from therapy, including breathing techniques, as well as other ways to calm my anxiety so therefore I can complete the work. As long as I have my anxiety under control I can ensure you I will have no problem with the workload. I will use the support programs they have at Queen's to help me complete the work and ask for help when I need it. I am hoping you will allow me a second chance and I will not let you down, and I can guarantee that you will never have an issue with me again. I am very worried about what a year off school will do to my mental health as it has already been struggling and will set me back from the progress I have made. I very much respect the integrity of the school and swear to uphold and achieve qualifying grades from here on out. I have had both my mother and therapist attach a letter testifying to my issues over summer and the past school year in addition to my appeal which are the same letters I attached to my previous letter. I am sincerely hoping there is something you can do to allow me to continue with some sort of school this year. Again, I promise I am a very dedicated and hardworking student and I apologize that I was not able to prove that to you last year, but I can guarantee if you give me the opportunity I will prove it to you now. Thank you so much for your time.
Thanks again,
