Petition Letter
Dear Arts & Science Department,
I would like to request special consideration for my enrollment into SOCY 225 and SOCY 363 for this semester. As a second year student transferred from Commerce, my situation has necessitated frequent and direct communication with the department for course registrations due to the inability to enroll myself manually in certain required courses, including these.
Despite proactive efforts to manage this process smoothly, I have encountered significant delays and challenges that have prevented me from enrolling in the 200-level and 300-level courses. The complications have arisen from the SOLUS crash this summer which did not let me enroll in SOCY 122 from the beginning of the registration period. This was coupled with delayed responses of the faculty due to the high volume of emails that have pushed me into a waitlisted status by the time issues were addressed.
These challenges, unfortunately beyond my personal control, have placed me at a disadvantage and unfortunately are impacting my academic progression.
Given these circumstances, I respectfully request the committee's assistance in facilitating my enrollment in these courses. I am fully committed to my studies and am eager to contribute positively to our academic community.
Thank you very much for considering my situation. I am hopeful for a favorable resolution and am available for any further information or discussions needed to support my petition.
Sincerely,
Jane
