Academic Plan
While studying abroad in Winter 2025, I plan to take four courses (12.0 units), consisting of one psychology course and three electives. This aligns with my current academic trajectory, as I am on track with my major requirements and I am currently completing four psychology courses (12.0 units) this semester. I have also fulfilled all necessary science requirements for my degree.
In consultation with Anja Wilke, the Academic Advisor and Assistant to the Undergraduate Chair in the Department of Psychology, I have carefully reviewed my degree requirements. Ideally, the psychology course I plan to take abroad will fulfill a social psychology course requirement. However, Anja confirmed that even if it does not, it will still count as an elective and contribute to my degree. The three elective courses will fulfill my remaining elective requirements, keeping me on track to graduate on time. Anja also assured me that I can take PSYC 302, the mandatory course I would miss during Winter 2025, in Winter 2026, allowing me to remain eligible to complete my thesis in my fourth year as planned.
This study abroad experience will not only keep me on track academically but will also provide an invaluable opportunity to broaden my understanding of psychology in a global context. The courses I take abroad will offer unique perspectives not available through Queen's current offerings, contributing to both my personal and academic growth.
