Petition Letter
To whom it may concern
My name is Eunsuh Kwak.
First, I want to apologize for making such troublesome situation. For a few years, I have been suffering from depression. I do not remember how it started, but I know it had prevented me from many things. I was relentlessly sad and it was uncontrollable. I thought it was an instant feeling that is just a process of growing. Once I realized that it was something serious, I felt that it was too late to cure. First semester was better than second because everything was new to me; the freedom, living alone, the excitement and many other things. But once these things were settled, my mood went back and with my littlest knowledge, handling this problem was hard.
Thankfully, my good friends helped me to find a way out. They introduced me that there is a mental health center in Queen¿¿s. Although I have suffered it for many years, I never thought of visiting such institution. My adviser, Mary was very nice to me and I was able to clear my mind. But still, I was in chaos and completing work was a little hard for me.
Summer break gave me peace. Living back home gave me comfort. Since the last day of moving out, my conditions got significantly better. Less time was spent with tears and I was able to think positively. Since then, I contacted my professors individually willing that maybe I could complete the task over the summer to finish the first year. Luckily for two of my subjects, I completed some things and that I was able to receive c for the final grade. For other two subjects, I am trying to complete tasks over the summer and I am still trying to reach for the last one. To prevent previous mistakes, I am concentrating in enhancing my level of focus by reading books and drawing. These also help me to meditate my mental health as well.
I am seeing a better future. If everything works out, I will be able to finish other three uncompleted subjects over the summer. Along with the academics, I have been running every day to train my physical health as well.
Thank you for reading this letter. I hope this letter helps for the things in concern.
Sincerely with many thanks,
Eunsuh Kwak
