Academic Plan
I have found an English tutor who just finished History phD in Queen's University. She will help me in improving English. She will also share her strategy that help her succeed in her student career. Since I have known her personally, she will also help me when I have trouble adjusting myself. I am planning to meet with her this summer at least 3 times a week.
I am also planning to setup meetings with school counsellors during my exam period to reduce my stress.
I have failed 2 courses which I will retake and make a great effort to achieve a good grade next semester. One of the courses is Math 280 which is advanced calculus. Right now I am retaking Math 121 which is basic calculus. Even though I have passed the course, I wanted to learn more thoroughly about the basics so I can do better when I retake Math 280 next year. The other course is Gender Studies. I failed it because I found the reading was a bit challenging. Therefore, my English tutor will help me get through the reading ahead of time in this summer so I will be more prepared when retaking it next year.
Next year, I will also take few 3rd year core statistic courses. I won't take more optional courses next year just to lighten the course load in order to adjust myself a little bit.
