Academic Plan
As a student in the Faculty of Arts and Science, I recognize that my placement on academic probation during 2024/2025 was a turning point. While the probation process and the associated course selection challenges affected my ability to enroll on time for the winter term, I am pleased to report that I have made significant improvements. My performance during the Fall term reflects my dedication to academic success, and I am committed to maintaining this progress. This academic plan outlines the steps I will take to ensure future success, should my petition for late enrolment be granted.
Goals
Short-term goals: Successfully complete all winter term courses, including ANAT 100 Online, and maintain strong academic performance.
Long-term goals: Complete my degree program in the Faculty of Arts and Science while building a strong foundation for my future career in Economics.
Strategies to Support My Academic Success:
To ensure I remain on track academically and address any challenges, I will adopt the following strategies:
Effective Time Management:
Utilize a detailed planner to track assignment deadlines, exams, and enrolment dates.
Set daily and weekly goals for studying and coursework to prevent procrastination.
Lighter Course Load:
I will prioritize quality over quantity by enrolling in fewer courses if needed to maintain focus and high performance.
Utilizing University Resources:
Attend academic workshops offered by the university (e.g., time management, study strategies, and exam preparation).
Make regular use of office hours to seek clarification on course material.
Consult with academic advisors to ensure I stay on track for my degree requirements.
Addressing Challenges:
Continue implementing strategies that helped me improve during the Fall term, including consistent early submission of assignments and active participation in coursework.
Maintain open communication with instructors to address any challenges promptly.
Support for Personal Growth:
Schedule regular check-ins with academic advisors to monitor my progress.
Seek support from personal counseling services, if needed, to ensure I maintain a healthy balance between academics and personal well-being.
This academic plan demonstrates my commitment to overcoming past challenges and maintaining a path of continuous improvement. The steps outlined above reflect the lessons I’ve learned from my probation period and how I plan to ensure sustained academic success. I am confident that with the support of my instructors and the university’s resources, I will meet and exceed my academic goals.
Thank you for considering my petition and reviewing this plan. Please let me know if further clarification is needed.
