Academic Plan
Academic Success Plan
Should my petition be granted, I am fully committed to ensuring my continued academic success through a combination of academic and personal strategies. I recognize the impact that unclear advising and system inconsistencies have had on my degree planning, and I am taking proactive steps to avoid similar issues moving forward.
From an academic perspective, I will be verifying all future course selections with further Queen’s admin, requesting written confirmation of course eligibility and applicability to my degree requirements. I will also consult other resources and continue to use Queen’s Degree Audit tools to cross-reference my academic progress. If needed, I am open to adjusting my course load to ensure that I stay on track while balancing academic demands with my personal circumstances.I plan to take a full course load of 10 courses in the upcoming academic year, and continue to maintain a 3.5 GPA or higher, as I have done this academic year, 2024 - 2025.
On a personal level, as a student who receives OSAP grants and loans and is estranged from parental support, I will continue to access student wellness resources, including academic advising and financial aid services, to ensure that I am supported both emotionally and logistically. I also plan to maintain regular contact with Queen’s Student Affairs and the Academic Advising Office throughout the remainder of my program to ensure accurate planning and guidance.
My goal is to graduate on time with a clear and accurate understanding of my degree requirements. I am prepared to take responsibility for verifying all future academic decisions while relying on available supports to help navigate any challenges that may arise. I believe that, with these steps, I will be able to maintain strong academic standing and complete my Honours Bachelor of Science degree successfully.
