Petition Letter
I have had a lot of trouble picking myself up since last term, and although I have signed up for student accessibility services and have written the deferred exams, I have had a lot of trouble managing four full courses, and although I was able to pass decently in four of them, AI proved a significant hurdle due to the format of learning and the lack of lectures saved to the OnQ. I had trouble with stomach issues while trying to get back on my feet since I had to drop two courses last term which limited the number of courses I was able to ultimately do well in and AI posed a particular issue towards the end, because I wasn't able to meet the later drop date deadline earlier this month. I have still had recurrent issues with focus and anxiety issues which have still gotten better, and though I was able to manage it to the extent four of my courses went as well as I could manage, AI has proved a huge hurdle for me. In addition, the low mark I believe I will receive will prove a considerable blocking factor in graduating in an honors degree instead of the general degree i remain in since it will drag down my overall mark. I otherwise I was able to do good work in my other four courses, and I had hurdles posed to me by poor stomach health this term because as attested in my earlier documentation I had struggles eating through the duration of the previous term, and I have continued struggles with executive function I'm actively meeting with a therapist for and that I signed up for accessibility services so that I could manage my course work better, however this course ended up being extremely difficult for me to handle and therefore I would like to request it to be dropped so that I can move forward in a positive direction by taking lighter courseload next year which will let me transfer into the honors degree provided I am able to drop this course and do better with a lighter courseload.
