Petition Letter
Dear Queen's University,
I am writing this letter because my classes' usual instruction and assistance have been disrupted by Queens' ongoing teacher strike. Lack of regular access to lectures, tutorials, and teacher feedback has made it very challenging for me to continue meeting the required academic requirements. Finals, assignments, and the deadlines for final projects are just a few of the important aspects of the semester that have been disrupted thus far.
I have tried to stay on course during the interruption by going over the materials, going to any other sessions that are offered, staying in touch with my classmates, and, where practical, getting in touch with the department staff or lecturers. Despite these attempts, the strike's overall effects have produced an academic atmosphere that has made it extremely difficult for me to satisfy course requirements. This letter is to let you know that my academic performance has been impacted by the teachers' strike, and I respectfully ask that you adjust my marks accordingly.
Thank You,
Ramana Karunakaran
