Academic Plan
Since I have returned to Toronto, I have seen my family doctor and have revisited my prescription and appropriate dosage, which I am now continuing to take. Along with this, my parents urged me to seek behavioral therapy with a psychotherapist and I am continuing to do this again this year.
In hopes to be have good mental health along with academic success I have laid out the following plan:
-continue with my therapists regularly
-adhere to the medication and consult with my family physician
- take the 2015/16 year off from Queen¿¿s with the purpose of returning the following year
- use the year to work part-time, save money and most importantly engage in personal self study, to enhance my learning and preparation for the following year.
- I feel this is important for gain a sense of balance, to mature, and to build my academic confidence. There are a number of online source and various resources that I would like to engage in order to do this.
-I would like to do some volunteer work in order to gain in my understanding of social justice and social consciousness. This is one area that I felt I was lacking during my year at Queens.
I feel that I have a reasonable personal plan and this is important for me to insure my future success at Queen¿¿s. And to this end, I am appealing to you on compassionate grounds to reconsider my first year and remove my grades so that I can return to Queen¿¿s with a fresh start. Should you need any medical documentation, I can provide that on request. Thank you for your consideration and I look forward to hearing from you in the near future.
