I was dealing with a temporary family caretaking emergency that unfortunately resulted in my missing the deadline to add a course. I was only temporarily and emergently required to be a caretaker, and my family has now arranged professional care, so this circumstance will not impair my ability to succeed in this course or meet any other important deadlines.
