Petition Letter
I am writing to respectfully petition for permission to add three courses to my academic schedule for the Summer 2025 academic semester, despite having missed the official course registration deadline.
Due to my niece being admitted to the hospital for an unforeseen seizure, I was unable to finalize my registration within the allotted time frame. Specifically, I was in the hospital for the past week supporting my sister during this hard and stressful time and due to this I was temporarily diverted in my focus from academic planning
Now that my niece has been released from the hospital and is home safe, I am eager to ensure my academic progress stays on track. The courses I wish to add are GLPH 171, IDIS 173 and IDIS 199. I am fully prepared to make up any missed coursework and actively engage with the material from this point forward.
I understand and respect the university's academic calendar and deadlines, and I do not take this request lightly. I am committed to maintaining the standards expected of me and ensuring that my late enrolment will not disrupt the class or burden the teaching faculty.
I respectfully ask for your understanding and consideration. I remain dedicated to my studies and greatly value the opportunity to continue my academic journey without delay.
