Academic Plan
Going forward I am confident I can turn things around. I now have a new family doctor and I have already booked an appointment with them for July 3rd to talk about my ADHD and a plan to move forward with medication. I plan to continue my work with my therapist in order to maintain a healthy schedule and mindset. I also plan on working with tutors through ASUS Tutoring for all of my classes once again. I am also currently taking a CHEM 281 course. I am in the final week and my final exam is on the 19th of June. My performance this semester has been significantly better than before and my final grade will show that. I have been up to date on assignments so far, not missing any deadlines. I did well in the midterm and I’m confident going into the final exam. I am implementing everything I’ve learned in order to do well in this course, to prove to myself that I can succeed. With the help of medication, therapy, and tutoring I am confident I can handle multiple courses. If my petition is accepted I plan to take 3 courses per semester and weekly tutoring sessions through ASUS Tutoring. With these steps in mind I am confident in my ability to meet the academic standard set by Queen’s.
I am waiting on a response from my therapist for a letter addressing the timeline of my progress and their perspective on my journey. As mentioned before I also have an appointment with my family doctor about continuing my ADHD medication. I can also get a copy of my medical history from them to reinforce the timeline of when I started Concerta. I can submit both documents shortly when I receive them.
