Academic Plan
To whom it may concern,
Moving forward with my return to studies I plan to switch from a BScH with a major in Biology to a BAH with a major in Health Studies and a minor in Biology. This will still allow to pursue my love for science as well as have a less intensive course load, allowing me to manage my mental and physical health while attending school. As for the classes I failed (6.0 Credits worth), I plan on taking these credits next summer. Specifically, I'll take one course in May-June, and the other in July-August to avoid overloading myself.
Moving forward managing my mental health, I will be starting weekly therapy starting next week and will be continuing with regular appointments throughout the school year. This is my long term strategy, helping me develop the skills and habits needed to deal with my anxiety. I've also started on medication for my mental health to help me return to baseline as I develop coping skills in therapy.
Whenever my return to school is I will be using an academic coach to help to me schedule and plan my assignments, exams, etc. Meeting with the coach will help me learn to tackle my academic duties in steps rather than be intimidated by completing a whole project last minute.
