Petition Letter
To Whom it May Concern,
I’m writing this letter as a petition to late drop a course: GNDS125. In December 2024, I began experiencing intimate partner violence which led into an ongoing family court battle. The Spring semester was incredibly challenging, and I required several accommodations to complete assignments and exams. In two of my courses, I received an Incomplete with the intention of finishing the due assignments by August 31, 2025. I’d anticipated the extenuating circumstances to improve with legal protection, but unfortunately the process has been long drawn out and will most likely continue that trajectory for some time.
In the upcoming semester I plan to reduce my courseload and lean on more resources.
