Academic Plan
I will start studying in more manageable amounts and significantly increase the time I spend on previewing my courses as well as reviewing the lecture notes after class. In order to ensure I do not miss any details in class, I plan on recording my lectures so I can go over them when I study. As English is not my strong point, I will need to listen to the lectures multiple times before I am able to fully grasp all the concepts. I believe that this will help me overcome my weakness and therefore make a significant difference to my performance. To be more specific, the course of study, I will take CISC-121 and CISC-124.
Also, I request to drop two taken courses, MATH-111 and MUSC-P52. I failed both classes in my first year, because I spent most of my time on Film Studies. While I was in depression, I lost my focus in class easily. The failures of the two courses are the biggest setback to my GPA. As long as dropping both from my transcript, my units taken towards GPA will decrease.
As I am starting to obtain a better idea of computer sciences, I hope to remain in my program and continue to improve. Thank you for taking the time to consider my letter of appeal. I am ready to show Queen¿¿s my strengths, while I move past my learning obstacles.
