Academic Plan
Although I was actively trying to manage my responsibilities, I now recognize that I did not seek help or clarification soon enough, and that I should have been more proactive in ensuring I was enrolled in the correct courses for my program.
After meeting with an academic advisor, I now have much greater clarity about what needs to be done moving forward. I have since carefully reviewed my Academic Advisement Report in SOLUS and mapped out a precise timeline for completing my remaining degree requirements. I am registered in the correct plan (Applied Economics Major with an Environmental Studies Minor) and have confirmed that I am eligible to take the courses I have selected, pending some departmental permissions.
To help ensure success this term, I am also making several important changes to my academic approach. (1) I will be using Student Academic Success Services (SASS) workshops and resources to strengthen my study habits, including note-taking, exam preparation, and assignment planning. (2) I plan to make regular use of office hours and academic advising, and will reach out earlier in the semester if issues arise. (3) If necessary, I will explore peer tutoring or mentorship programs through ASUS and PASS to supplement my learning.
While I am committed to ensuring that my delayed enrollment does not impact my success in ECON 310 and ENSC 301, I also understand that this will require sustained effort and ongoing reflection. I have learned the importance of being proactive, asking for help, and staying connected to available support systems. I believe this plan is both realistic and actionable, and I am hopeful that with the steps I have outlined, I can maintain a strong academic standing and complete my degree on schedule.
