Petition Letter
I am writing to formally request to add ECON 222 for the Fall 2025 semester after the add-drop deadline.
I had to take the final exam for ECON 112 (pre-requisite for ECON 222) at the beginning of this semester due to being sick the previous semester. The posting of final grades did not happen until last Monday, and consequently I could not register for ECON 222 until after the add-drop deadline.
I am a student in the Bachelor of Computing (Honours) program with a Major in Computing (Artificial Intelligence Option) and a Minor in Economics. I needed to add a minor due to the new program rules, and Economics was the only option that allows me to graduate on time. However, ECON 222 is a required course for the Economics minor, and if I do not take this class in Fall 2025 I risk graduating late.
I've cotact and get agreement with the professor teaching ECON 222 who says after I enrolled he will adjust the quiz deadlines that have already passed.
I am committed to completing any missed work and meeting the course requirements in a responsible and professional manner. Thank you very much for your time and consideration.
