Petition Letter
To the Associate Dean,
I am writing to respectfully petition the review of my final grade in ARTF 101. My final grade was recorded as 89.01%, which falls within the A range. Since the cutoff for an A+ begins at 90%, I am requesting reconsideration of my grade.
Throughout the term, I demonstrated consistent effort, growth, and commitment to the course. I dedicated a significant amount of time to my projects and assignments, and I believe the quality of my work reflects performance in the A+ range. I reached out to my instructor, Professor Brian Hoad, to discuss this matter. While he acknowledged my strong performance in the course, he explained that grades had already been submitted and that the proper avenue for review would be through the academic appeals process. He also indicated that he would be open to re-evaluating my assignments should an appeal be filed.
I am requesting this reconsideration on the grounds that the grade as recorded does not fully reflect the effort and quality of my term work. I believe a closer review of my submitted assignments may demonstrate that my work was undervalued and merits placement in the A+ range. My graded assignments and work are available to be reviewed, and I am prepared to provide these for consideration.
I respectfully ask that this petition be accepted so that my course work may be reassessed. I am grateful for your time and consideration of this request.
Sincerely,
Madison Ferreira
