Academic Plan
If this petition is approved, then my plan for Spring 2026 semester is to take 15 credits, or five courses at the CEA CAPA London Center. It is a 14.5-week program that combines rigorous coursework with cultural immersion and I've intentionally timed it so that I will be finished with my required 300-level Political Science classes in the Fall. This leaves the Winter break open for 5 electives if granted more than 6 credits for my exchange experience. Some courses that the host isnititons offers that I am considering are: Human Rights in a Global Context, Analyzing and Exploring the City: London, and Feminist London: Activism in the City. These modules not only transfer back to Queen's credits, but they also broaden and enrich my degree in Political Science. Additionally, they align with my interests in governance, human rights and social justice and offer me a new perspective from one of the world's major capitals. To maintain manageability of workload, I will have a systematic weekly schedule, and maintain close contact with advisor at Queen's to ensure credit recognition. I'll also take advantage of the academic support provided at the host institution. With a good plan that I have also used to maintain a good GPA here at Queens, I can get the balance of academic rigor and cultural engagement right, stay on track for graduation and increase my degree while getting closer to my long-term career.
