Petition Letter
To whom it may concern,
I am writing to ask for consideration for a credit standing in Introduction to Clinical Psychology PSYC 236 for the Winter 2025 semester.
During this term, I experienced both the unexpected loss of my uncle and the advancement of my grandfather’s dementia. As his power of attorney, I was responsible for moving my grandfather into a care home, selling his home and dealing with his finances. At this time, I had to travel back and forth to Hamilton, Ontario as that is where I am from and where my grandfather lives. Due to these circumstances, I was unable to fully participate with the course material and and prepare for assessments. To the best of my ability, I remained committed to the course but unfortunately my final grade was directly affected. I respectfully ask that my grade in this course is recorded as credit rather than a letter grade.
I am able to provide my uncles obituary, my grandfather’s leasing agreement, listing material and any additional information you may require. Please let me know if you require these documents or any other material and information from me. Thank you so much for taking the time and effort to consider my petition.
