Petition Letter
Dear Committee,
I am writing to ask to remove PHAR 100 from my transcript, after the official drop deadline, which I missed by only one day. I am requesting this consideration due to extenuating circumstances beyond my control that directly affected my ability to complete a major assessment.
On the day of the midterm exam, I experienced a significant technical issue. I was let into the exam session by the technical support team, but they forgot to instruct me to download the required software beforehand. I began the exam and, after about two minutes, they asked me to stop, download the software, and restart my laptop. Unfortunately, the exam timer continued to run during this entire process, leaving me with very limited time to complete the test only 9 minutes.
This was not my fault, and the delay caused by the technical oversight prevented me from finishing the midterm.
Since this issue was entirely beyond my control, I am kindly requesting permission to drop the course without it appearing on my academic transcript, despite being only one day past the official deadline.
