Petition Letter
Dear Ms. Stephenson,
Ever since my year off from university, my time management skills have improved that had a great impact on my academics this year, compared to two years ago.
During the time of my withdrawal, in April of this year, I heard the news about course cuts and changes made in each department of Arts and Science faculty, regarding the plan selections, from my academic advisor: Daralyn Auld.
The course SOCY 122, that I took two years ago, is no longer offered due to course cuts and changes made in course loads since April of this year.
As there was no opportunity for me to retake the course from the start of this academic year, there might be a risk for me to improve my academic standing after academic evaluation and being requested to withdraw for three years even
if other courses have higher grades and they are qualifying me to enter the physics degree plan.
To your question of what happened that I'm addressing this issue at this time.
Since my return to Armenia during my year off and this term, I have been preoccupied with improving my studies and mental health for achieving a necessary academic standing for the physics degree plan.
I'm humbly asking you to reconsider my case and make an exception for dropping the course SOCY 122 from my transcript.
Humbly,
Sofya
