Academic Plan
If granted the opportunity to enroll in ANAT 100, I will be starting weeks after my peers already in the course, therefore, I will have to adjust my schedule/study habits to catch up. To do this, I have pro-actively started working ahead in my other courses so I can spend next week, or what week I am able to enroll in the class, to focus on catching up in ANAT 100. Currently, I am enrolled in five classes and participate in two school clubs, but I still have plenty of free time that I will use to catch up on the coursework and assignments. While three weeks is a significant amount of time to miss in a course, I plan to buckle down for a few days as well as the weekend to catch up. To ensure success in this course throughout the duration of the semester, I plan to dedicate at least an hour a day (on top of completing the course readings) to go over what I learned that day, quiz myself, and go over any topics that I’m not confident in. I have more time on my hands now than when I initially took the course when I took 12 credits worth of classes in the summer while working a full-time office job so I am confident in my abilities to succeed in the course as I’ve also learned to better manage my time in the four years I’ve been at Queen’s. Therefore, while joining a course so late in the semester might be daunting and scary, I am confident I will succeed and actually enjoy learning the content this time around as my study habits and time management have transformed since I first took ANAT 100.
