Petition Letter
Hi,
I am requesting a retroactive drop for MATH 112, taken in Fall 2025. During that first term, I struggled with my transition to university as well as living away from home, leading to severe difficulty with the material in this specific course. Although I did not meet the deadline, I failed to drop the course earlier because I was actively trying to catch up and was reluctant to give up on the course. I have since settled into the routine at Queen's and am doing well. For instance, yesterday my Physics lab group won Second Place in the Design Labs competition.This petition is to correct a grade that does not reflect my academic abilities. I have since developed the focus and academic maturity to perform at the level I know I am capable of.
