Petition Letter
Dear Petitions Committee,
I am writing to respectfully submit this petition regarding my academic circumstances during the recent term. Over the past several days, I experienced an illness that significantly affected my ability to focus, complete academic work efficiently, and make clear decisions regarding my coursework and academic planning. The physical symptoms and fatigue made it difficult to maintain my usual level of academic performance and productivity during an important period of the semester.
At the same time, I was also dealing with uncertainty surrounding my financial ability to pay for an additional summer course. This created considerable stress and affected my ability to confidently plan my academic schedule and make timely decisions regarding my courses. The combination of illness and financial uncertainty negatively impacted my concentration, time management, and overall academic performance during this period.
These circumstances were beyond my control and affected both my academic engagement and my ability to perform to the best of my abilities. During this time, I attempted to manage the situation by monitoring my health, adjusting my workload where possible, and exploring financial options regarding course enrollment. However, the overlapping challenges still had a noticeable impact on my coursework and academic decision-making.
I take my academic responsibilities seriously and remain committed to my studies and long-term success at Queen’s University. I respectfully ask that the committee take these extenuating circumstances into consideration in reviewing my petition.
Thank you for your time, understanding, and consideration.
Sincerely,
Sean Ezeocha
