Petition Letter
I signed to leave Queen¿¿s University because I got bad experiences from my roommates last week (October 30)¿¿ violence, discrimination, sexual harassment, and racism. They called the police to kick me out, so I was packing in front of the police. My roommates liked to rush into my room without knocking the door and say something disrespectful, and if I didn¿¿t open the door, they would knock it violently. They called me ¿¿cunt, whore, and bitch.¿ They said ¿¿we are Canadian citizen by birth, not a stupid immigrant as you.¿ They threw my stuff on the floor, and even my iphone. One of my roommates are from Queens¿¿ Commerce.
It¿¿s actually the second time I got housing problem.
Before I arrived at Queen¿¿s, I signed a contract and paid the rent from Taiwan to rent a room to stay. When I got there, I found my roommate is a middle-aged guy. He spread alcohol horribly in the living room. I didn¿¿t feel safe staying there. So for the first two weeks I was searching for place to stay and subletting my contract. However, when I finally found a subletter, the agent made up a story that I didn¿¿t pay anything for money cheat. In the beginning of the semester I was busy for this, and I finally got a place to stay ¿¿ where I got kicked out last week.
In the beginning of the semester I was worried about my safety, so I didn¿¿t did a good job for course selection. I didn¿¿t select HIST 216 until the deadline of course add & drop. (I changed my schedule, so I missed this class for first two weeks) I tried hard to catch the materials up but couldn¿¿t make it. However, after hearing my story last week, Ms. Currarino, the professor of the class, is willing to give me an opportunity to make things up from now on.
I signed to leave Queen¿¿s University because I was disappointed by myself, Queen¿¿s students, and Canadian citizen. I was too horrified to persuade myself to stay. However, on this Monday (Nov 2) I found a room from the residence was now available. So that¿¿s why I wanted to stay and finish everything to change my bad memories here.
