Petition Letter

Dear Sir or Madam,
I would like to ask to withdraw from Chemistry 282. I understand that I am 10 days past the deadline to drop the course. I did try to drop CHEM 282 a day or so later when I realized I had missed the deadline but was unable to on Solus.
I have been taking courses on a part-time basis over the past few years to finish a degree I began almost forty years ago. I am working on my last half credit and thought that I could do organic chemistry. I now realize that this course is beyond me and was hoping that you would allow me to drop it and not have a fail on my transcript.
I am also currently taking Biochemistry 316 and am doing fine but realize that without the organic chemistry I will not be given a credit for this course. My plan is to complete Biochem 316 just because I enjoy the material and take the Biochemistry course, which does not require organic chemistry, by correspondence to complete my degree when it is offered next.
I will not be including any other documentation.
