Petition Letter
I am a third year Concurrent Education student who majors in History. I am hoping and looking to travel to East Africa this upcoming September (2016) as an exchange opportunity. There, I will complete two courses relating to the African culture and History. Both of these courses will be electives which will count towards my academic plan, however not towards my history requirements. I have received confirmation from both the Concurrent Education and History faculty to state that going away on this exchange will not limit my chance to graduate on time. This summer, I am hoping to complete 3 courses, which will make it okay for me to only take two courses while I am away on exchange. I have also completed two full history seminars in the winter of 2016 semester, meaning I will only need to take two half semester seminars when I return. I have pre planned my academic schedule out and have gotten acceptances from both faculties, as mentioned.
