Academic Plan
I have thought long and hard about all the events that have come together to put me in the situation I am in today, and have made a few decisions. Firstly, I will continue going to regularly see a counsellor at HCDS to talk about the challenges I face instead of keeping them to myself. I have had a couple phone call appointments this summer, and plan on continuing those as well. I have stood up to my parents and made it clear that I cannot be a mediator in their relationship any longer as I need to focus on myself, and I will be there as their daughter, but I am not their counsellor. I will also be requesting a change of plan during the late change of plan period to switch from a BScH to a BSc, as this will lessen my overall required courses, thus lessening my total course load. I also plan on taking a fifth year to allow myself to spread out the courses I need to take, and to raise my GPA. I have also chosen to not hold a job, as I need to focus on myself and my studies first, and I will only join a minimum number of clubs on campus to engage myself in some extracurriculars and allow for some interactions with others which will give me a break and a sense of involvement and community. I believe that with these changes, and with the ongoing support of my friends and members of the Queen's community, I can achieve what I am setting out to accomplish this upcoming year.
