Academic Plan
My course of study would be to major in English and minor in Classics. In September, my course plan would include taking ENGL 100 as well as opting to re-take CLST 102 and 103, with 6.0-9.0 units of elective courses. My reason for choosing these courses is because they align with my goals, ENGL 100 is the course that is required to qualify for a major in English, and CLST 102 and 103 are the courses necessary for a Classics minor.
In my subsequent years at Queen¿¿s, I plan to follow the recommended English Major plan, with specific courses for second year including ENGL 200 002, ENGL 234 001, 237 001 and 292 001.
For my minor, my focus would be on the archaeological aspects of Classics. In order to pursue this, I plan on enrolling in CLST 203, 303, 304, 305 and 306 among others such as CLST 404 and 405.
In order to meet my goals, I understand that for my minor and major to be completed I need to enroll in 60.0 units of ENGL courses as well as 54.0 alternative units. Of those 54.0 units, a minor in Classics would make up 30.0 of those units, with 24.0 units left as elective courses.
As also noted in my appeal letter, I believe that by seeking out professional help and building a strong support system I will be able to stay motivated and on top of my goals.
By enrolling as a part-time student I can alleviate some financial stress by taking on a part-time job and help me to afford the costs of therapy.
