Dear Department of Arts and Science Online at Queen¿¿s University,
Please see below for my go-forward plan to succeed in DEVS 100 for Fall-Winter 2016-17.
GO-FORWARD PLAN FOR SUCCESS
I realize, should I be granted the appeal, that I will need to catch up on four to five missed weeks of study.
My current work position allows me to have a very flexible work schedule; I am able to work from home, make my own work hours, and the owner of my company is very supportive of my continuing education. If needed, I can provide documentation which outlines her approval of my decision to take DEVS 100.
I consider myself very good at time management. I see the upcoming evaluation is 20 participation and then the mid-term exam follows; as someone who writes a lot for work on several projects weekly and is required to be a thorough and quick producer of material, I believe I will be able to generate the writing required for the course with flying colours, and with more condensed time frames.
In terms of previous academic performance, I graduated with a 3.6 GPA from my previous studies at Seneca College of Applied Arts and Technology in 2013 while working more hours than recommended for a full-time student, and still found time for additional priorities. At Simon Fraser University, I took an intensive PR program to refine my writing skills and ability to write concisely, which will contribute to my success in DEVS 100.
I am ready to thrive in DEVS 100. I have the proven skills, the flexible work schedule, the academic background and the drive to flourish in this course.
I look forward to your decision.
Warmest regards,
Nancy Ruth Deen
