Academic Plan
Should this appeal be granted, I will achieve academic success in CISC 220 in the normal way -- completing all assignments, studying for quizzes, and attending and participating in lectures.
I have met with Mr. Khalifa to discuss what I will have missed and need to catch up on.
Assignments: no assignments have been given yet.
Online quizzes: I have missed one online quiz out of five total, but only the top four marks will be used when computing grades. So, I will complete all future quizzes, with no penalty or make-up quiz required. I will review the first quiz to ensure I understand the material being tested.
In-class quizzes: none given yet.
The first half of the course material focuses on the linux/unix application bash in general use and as a scripting tool. Having worked professionally as a programmer under linux for eight years, I will be entering this course with extensive existing experience and knowledge of bash. I do not expect an insurmountable challenge due to missing the first weeks of class.
However, if the material proves unexpectedly challenging, I will seek support and utilize office hours to have the best chance of success.
