Petition Letter
Dear Associate Dean (Studies),
I am appealing to drop STATS 263 (Fall 2016). I am currently enrolled in stats 263 for the fall semester. I have been trying all semester to move stats from the fall semester to the winter semester. Due to a course conflict in winter I had not been able to move the course. The issue was just recently resolved and I am now able to enrol into the winter. However, I was unaware that I needed to drop this course from the fall and re enrol into it for the winter, rather than just swapping it. Because of this I have been enrolled in stats 263 since the beginning of term. I have not participated/attended any lecture, online quiz, midterm, etc. I will be taking this course in the winter 2017 semester.
I have spoken to the stats 263 professor, Professor Molson. He can verify that I have no grades recorded for any assignment or test taken place in STAT 263 and I have his support to appeal to drop the course so late in the term. I have also spoken to the undergraduate assistant for the geology department, Larke Zarichny as well as Professor Peterson from the geology department. They are both aware of this situation and support my appeal.
