Petition Letter
To Whom It May Concern,
I hope that you can consider to help me to drop my MATH 221 from 2016 Fall term. The reason of that is I have been influenced by my dental problems since October. I do actually have a lot of issues going on with my tooth, every tooth in my month just keeps going worse and worse.
I went to dental clinic for more than 10 times since the last past few months. My face is swelled sometimes; not able to eat and sleep properly the pain is driving me crazy. I do take antibiotics and pain killer but they actually make me dizzy because of the chemical component. I did go to my home country for the treatment during the winter break since I am an international student and the dental stuff is very expensive in Canada, I have spent all my insurance for only one or two dental appointment, and got back to Kingston on the 15 of Jan, I finished some of the work back home but there are still a few extractions and fillings need to be done very soon. Dr. Krone did give me a chance to defer the exam to this week but I actually very busy to make up the class material I missed this term, and still struggling with the jet lag, it usually takes me around 2 weeks to fully adopt a 13 hours jet lag. Plus, I talked to an academic advisor last week about changing my degree plan from Math and Econ Medial to 2 General degrees. Which also means this class is no longer my core course anymore which I will not choose to take. That is another reason I did not apply for the credit standing. I really had the worst GPA term since I have been to Canada due to my medical condition. I really want to get it over and study for my new classes.
Hope what I wrote can make sense to you, I apologize if I did not make anything clear enough since English is my second language. Please help me with the appeal and hope you could understand my situation, it is been pretty tough for me, thank you so much for considering my request.
(I have attached a few receipts from the dentist that I still have, I'd happy to provide more information if it needed.)
