Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

This is to request adding PSYC 575, a directed lab course in psychology with Dr. Susan Brodt. This course requires a special permission from a professor in psychology which allows you to work in their lab for 8-10 hours a week for course credit. After they agree, you then need to bring a form to the assistant to the undergraduate chair in psychology. Dr. Brodt agreed to take me as a student in the fall. We ended up having our first meeting for the winter semester on Wednesday Jan 18th. I forgot when the deadline was to add the course and by the time I got the form signed by Dr. Brodt it was already Friday. The assistant to the undergraduate chair tried adding it but said that the registrar office required an appeal letter. She also said that the department supports my decision.
